Homemade Pistachio Milk

🥛 Homemade Pistachio Milk is a creamy sweet plant-based milk, perfect for lattes, breakfasts and smoothies. It's rich in healthy fats, naturally green, and has a light nutty flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw, shelled pistachios (unsalted)
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 date
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract  
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon 

Instructions:

  1. Soak the pistachios
  2. Cover with water and soak overnight (or 6–8 hours)
  3. If in a rush: quick soak in hot water for 1 hour 
  4. Drain & rinse the soaked pistachios
  5. Blend: add pistachios + 4 cups filtered water to blender + date + vanilla extract + cinnamon
  6. Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until smooth
  7. Strain using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer
  8. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible
  9. Store in a sealed jar or bottle
  10. Keeps for 3–4 days in the fridge 
  11. Shake before each use
