🥛 Homemade Pistachio Milk is a creamy sweet plant-based milk, perfect for lattes, breakfasts and smoothies. It's rich in healthy fats, naturally green, and has a light nutty flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw, shelled pistachios (unsalted)
- 4 cups filtered water
- 1 date
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract Â
- 1/2 tsp cinnamonÂ
Instructions:
- Soak the pistachios
- Cover with water and soak overnight (or 6–8 hours)
- If in a rush: quick soak in hot water for 1 hourÂ
- Drain & rinse the soaked pistachios
- Blend: add pistachios + 4 cups filtered water to blender + date + vanilla extract + cinnamon
- Blend on high for 1–2 minutes until smooth
- Strain using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer
- Squeeze out as much liquid as possible
- Store in a sealed jar or bottle
- Keeps for 3–4 days in the fridgeÂ
- Shake before each useÂ
