Why it’s special: A Levantine classic reimagined with carob for natural sweetness and depth.

Ingredients (serves 2–3):

  • Chickpeas (cooked)
  • Whole wheat pita, toasted
  • Tahini
  • Carob molasses
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic
  • Extra virgin olive oil (from LivGood)
  • Cumin, sea salt
  • Toasted pine nuts or walnuts

Method:

  1. Warm chickpeas with cumin and olive oil.
  2. Whisk tahini, lemon, garlic, salt, and a drizzle of carob molasses.
  3. Layer pita, chickpeas, sauce, and nuts.
  4. Finish with olive oil and a light carob drizzle.
