✨ What is Phase 1?
In Phase 1, the liver uses enzymes to break down fat-soluble toxins into less harmful compounds. These by-products then move into Phase 2 for processing. This phase needs nutrients like:
- B vitamins, vitamin C, cysteine, methionine, choline
- Cruciferous vegetables, citrus, ginger, antioxidants like glutathione
- Think: broccoli, lemon, blueberries, garlic, turmeric
💡 Goals:
- Kickstart liver detox with the right nutrients
- Hydrate, stimulate bile flow, and reduce inflammation
- Begin supporting estrogen metabolism
🍴Meal Plan:
Morning drink:
- Warm lemon water with a pinch of pink Himalayan salt (supports bile flow, vitamin C and hydration)
- Followed by a Green Juice: • 1 inch of raw ginger unpeeled • 6-10 celery stalks • 1 cucumber, unpeeled • 1 lemon, peeled
Breakfast: Chia Detox Pudding (prepare one day ahead)
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4 cup almond or flax milk
- 1 tsp ground flaxseed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Topped with: blueberries + sprinkle of sunflower seeds (vitamin E & choline) Packed with fiber, omega-3s, antioxidants, and vitamin C
Lunch: Power Bowl
- 1 cup steamed broccoli
- 1 cup raw arugula
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds (zinc + B vitamins)
- A handful of pomegranate
- 1/2 cup roasted chickpeas or lentils (B6, amino acids)
- Dressing: Lemon juice + olive oil + crushed garlic + mustard
Afternoon snack: A kiwi and/or a boiled egg
Dinner: White Fish and Cauliflower Stir-Fry
- 1/2 head cauliflower, put it in the blender until reach rice consistency, and lightly sauté
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 chopped onion + garlic
- 1 tbsp tahini (methionine source)
- Grilled white fish
- Squeeze of lemon and fresh parsley
Herbal tea before bed: Dandelion or Lemon Balm
Workout: Low intensity, Pilates or Yoga or Walk
