✨ What is Phase 2?
In Phase 2, the liver binds (conjugates) those by-products from Phase 1 with molecules that make them water-soluble → ready to be excreted.
- Nutrients needed: B12, folate, magnesium, sulfur-rich foods (eggs, garlic, onions), glycine, glutamine
- Focus on leafy greens, lentils, tahini, avocado, mushrooms
💡 Goals:
- Continue activation while beginning conjugation
- Provide sulfur-rich foods and supportive proteins
- Reduce estrogen load and support liver clearance
🍴Meal Plan:
Morning drink:
- Warm lemon water with a pinch of pink Himalayan salt (supports bile flow, vitamin C and hydration)
- Followed by a Green Juice: • 1 inch of raw ginger unpeeled • 6-10 celery stalks • 1 cucumber, unpeeled • 1 lemon, peeled
Breakfast: Sautéed Spinach with boiled eggs
- Sautéed Spinach, garlic, onion, and mushrooms in olive oil
- 1/4 avocado
- 2 boiled pasture-raised eggs (cysteine, methionine, choline)
Lunch: Lentil & Quinoa bowl
- 1/2 cup cooked green lentils (folate + plant protein)
- 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 red onion, finely sliced
- 1 cup lightly steamed broccoli
- Shredded red cabbage
- Dressing: 2 tbsp tahini, Juice of 1 lemon (methionine + vitamin C), 1 tbsp water. 1 small garlic clove, 1 tbsp olive oil
- Topped with: Fresh parsley, pumpkin seeds, and 1/4 avocado
- Optional: Sprinkle of nutritional yeast for B12
Afternoon snack: Kiwi and 5-6 walnuts
Dinner: Hearty Chicken Soup
Soup base:
- 1 sliced leek
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 small zucchini
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- Juice of one lemon
- 4 cups bone broth or veggie broth
- Let simmer 20–30 mins
- Add on top or on the side: 100–150g grilled or shredded chicken breast (cooked in olive oil, garlic, and herbs — no sauces) with a side of sautéed kale
- Sprinkle pumpkin seeds for extra amino acids + zinc on top
Herbal Tea: Peppermint
