The Paleo diet or Stone Age diet represents our ancestors’ lifestyle that was based on food that is hunted or gathered. It includes lean animal meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and excludes food that were included in the humans diet when farming emerged: dairy products, legumes and grains.

The Difference between Paleo and Low-Carb diets:
The difference between paleo and low-carb diet is in:
-The quality and the quantity of fat.
-The long term health repercussion


In fact, if you're on a paleo diet, you need:
-19-35% of protein
-22-40% of carbohydrates
-28-47% of fat
And when you're on a low-carb diet, you need:
-18-23% of protein
- 4-26% of carbohydrates
-51-78% of fat
Low-carb diets are really high in fat: people consume fatty , salty processed meats (bacon, sausage, hot dogs...) and dairy products while restricting veggies and fruits.
Let's not forget that low carb diets help accomplish rapid weight loss but it's for a short term and at the expense of health and wellbeing.

The dos and don’ts of the Paleo Diet:
DO
-Eat a high amount of animal protein consisting of grass-fed animal meat and wild-caught fish.
-Eat fewer carbohydrates by avoiding the consumption of bread, biscuits, crackers, rice and all grains.
-Eat a moderate amount of fat with more olive oil, coconut oil, avocado.
-Eat all kinds of nuts except peanuts.
-Choose to drink coconut drink and all nut and seed drinks.

DON'T
-Eat processed meats containing nitrates, additives and preservatives.
-Eat dairy products.
-Eat beans, lentils and peanuts.
-Eat potatoes
-Drink processed and sugary beverages.
-Eat processed fruits and vegetables.
