Ingredients for 3 servings


  • Preheat the oven to 190 C.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat then add the onion and pepper slices and cook for 15 minutes until they become soft.
  • Pour the tomatoes, paprika, coriander, salt, pepper , bring to a boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer until the tomato sauce thickens. Stir in the sliced halloumi cheese.
  • Create 6 nests in the mix and crack the eggs over them.
  • Place the skillet in the oven to continue cooking until the eggs are set , about 12 minutes.
  • Garnish the shakshuka with fresh cilantro and serve with crispibread.
